## Job Description

**Job Summary:**The Commercial Loan Officer (CLO) is primarily responsible for acquiring new profitable commercial banking relationships through the origination of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans, lines of credit, working capital facilities, equipment financing, acquisition/M&A financing, and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans. The CLO is expected to proactively prospect, develop centers of influence, cultivate referral sources, and generate new business opportunities that align with the Bank’s credit culture and profitability objectives.

The CLO serves as the primary relationship manager for prospective clients and is responsible for cross-selling deposit accounts, treasury management services, and other banking products to establish full banking relationships. The CLO works closely with Credit Administration, Treasury Management, Deposit Services Group, and Portfolio Management teams to deliver exceptional client experience while expanding the Bank’s presence in the marketplace.

**Essential Functions:**

  1. Meets and exceeds monthly performance-based scorecard goals that include but are not limited to loan and deposit production
  2. Responsible for sourcing, developing, and closing new profitable commercial banking relationships focused on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lines of credit, working capital loans, equipment financing, acquisition/M&A financing, owner-occupied commercial real estate loans, and other commercial credit facilities approved by the Bank.
  3. Develop and execute an annual business development plan designed to generate new loan and deposit relationships through direct prospecting, referral partners, centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, consultants), industry associations, and community involvement.
  4. Promote and secure full banking relationships by cross-selling operating accounts, treasury management services, online banking, ACH, wires, remote deposit, positive pay, credit cards, and other Bank products.
  5. Reviews, processes and prepares documentation for loans; ensures that it is complete, legal, and in compliance with regulatory and bank policy.
  6. Maintain adherence to the Bank’s credit culture and underwriting standards while balancing growth objectives with sound risk management and profitability expectations.
  7. Performs other duties and special projects as needed and assigned

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

  • Proven track record of generating new commercial banking relationships and achieving business development goals.
  • Strong knowledge of C&I lending, working capital facilities, equipment financing, acquisition financing, and owner occupied commercial real estate lending.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop centers of influence and referral networks.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, and leadership qualities.
  • Must be a team player, self-starter, flexible, be able to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, assess credit risk, and structure profitable loan transactions.
