About The Role
## Description
**SUMMARY**
- In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of
- Hours: Every other weekend 7:00am- 11:00am
- **SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**: *All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).*
- **Patient Care and Assessment**
- Monitor and document clients’ responses to methadone treatment and any side effects or complications.
- Administer methadone and suboxone doses in accordance with clinic protocols and ensure accurate dosage and timing.
**Medication Management**
- Prepare and dispense methadone and other prescribed medications.
- Monitor clients for signs of medication misuse or adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client progress.
**Documentation and Reporting**
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each client
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinic documentation requirements.
- Report any significant changes in clients’ health status or treatment response to the appropriate supervisor.
**Compliance and Quality Assurance**
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing methadone treatment and opioid addiction.
**Professional Development**
- Stay current with best practices, trends, and regulations in addiction treatment and nursing.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities related to methadone treatment and addiction recovery.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a methadone clinic or addiction treatment setting is preferred.
- Experience in medication management and patient education.
**Skills**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare documentation systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
**Personal Attributes**
- Compassionate and empathetic towards clients struggling with addiction.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and respond to emergencies calmly.
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- LPN with a valid state license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience in addiction treatment or a related field is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license
