**Position Overview:**

Recovery Network of Programs is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented **Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator** to lead and coordinate substance use services within the **Bridgeport Correctional Facility**. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, complaint, and effective delivery of medication-assisted treatment to incarcerated individuals diagnosed with opioid use disorder.

**SHIFT:** Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee all aspects of daily methadone dosing and ensure adherence to RNP protocols.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients for therapeutic effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to communicate clinical concerns, dosage changes, and treatment updates.
  • Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record (EHR) and dosing systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, security, and chain of custody of methadone/suboxone in compliance with **DEA**, **DPH**, and **SAMHSA** regulations.
  • Coordinate care transitions for individuals being released from custody, including referrals to community-based MAT programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between medical, correctional, and behavioral health teams.
  • Provide oversight and support to LPNs and other nursing staff involved in MAT services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning, and compliance audits.

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

  • **Active Registered Nurse (RN) license** in the State of Connecticut (required).
  • Minimum of **2 years of nursing experience**, preferably in corrections, behavioral health, or substance use treatment.
  • Experience with **medication-assisted treatment** (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine) strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, clinical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in a secure correctional environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards governing opioid treatment programs is a plus.
