**Position Summary:**

The Daycare Worker provides loving, safe, and developmentally appropriate care for children ages birth to 3 years old in a private Christian school setting serving employee children only. This position supports the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of infants and toddlers while maintaining a nurturing Christ-centered environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**​​​​​

• Provide attentive daily care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and nap supervision.
• Create a safe, clean, welcoming, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage early learning, creativity, motor skills, and social development.
• Demonstrate patience, compassion, and positive guidance techniques with all children.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and follow all sanitation and health procedures.
• Observe and report children’s developmental progress, behaviors, and concerns to supervisors and parents as needed.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, childcare regulations, and safety procedures.
• Assist with maintaining daily schedules and routines for infants and toddlers.
• Collaborate professionally with fellow staff members, school administration, and parents.
• Support and model Christian values and behavior in all interactions.
• Pray with and encourage children in a loving, faith-based environment when appropriate.

## Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Experience with children recommended

**Physical and Mental Requirements**

Daycare Assistant must be able to

• Communicate clearly
• Hear sounds at a reasonable level
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• Stoop, crouch, or kneel to assist younger children
