## Description

POSITION PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Provide basic, preventive, endodontic, periodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery services to all patients.
  2. Provide oral hygiene instructions and patient education to all patients.
  3. Provide 3,000 patient encounters minimum per year.
  4. Complete and maintain patient charts via Dentrix.
  5. Formulate and implement dental treatment plans for patients as documented in Dentrix.
  6. Write or dictate letters, summaries, referrals, etc., in Dentrix.
  7. Participate in the development of the annual dental health care plan.
  8. Work cooperatively with other professionals and paraprofessionals, including dental.
  9. Participate in developing and conducting dental and community health projects as the Dental Director or Executive Director requested.
  10. Participate in case conferences and chart audit systems on an ongoing basis.
  11. Participate in staff committees as requested.
  12. Participate in regular continuing dental education activities (20 credit hours per year).
  13. Be available for dental clinic day and evening hours and Saturdays and holidays according to the rotation schedule.
  14. Provide emergency telephone coverage according to rotation schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  15. Perform other related work as directed by the Dental Coordinator.
  16. Maintain accurate logs and record keeping via computer databases and/or manual.
  17. Act as a preceptor to Dental Students as assigned.
  18. Adhere to QCHC House Rules.
  19. Participates in creating, developing, and planning special events as directed.
  20. Actively participates as a member in at least one (1) disparity collaboration.
  21. Community outreach (secondary)

## Qualifications
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

**Education:**

  • Graduated from an Accredited Dental School
  • Licensed to practice Dentistry in Pennsylvania
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License
