| **Position Purpose** |
The Athletic Department at Emory & Henry College invites applicants to apply for the full time position of Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball. This is a 10 month position reporting to the Head Coach, Women’s Basketball.
- The ideal candidate is competitive with strong leadership capability and has the ability to motivate and persuade others in a positive direction.
- Other qualities are being well organized and taking initiative to help assist in all areas.
- The ideal candidate is also dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus and has the ability to work collaboratively, be flexible and compromise in order to move forward as a team.

- | **Duties and Responsibilities** |
- Assist in planning, conducting, and supervising all basketball practices and conditioning sessions. Assist in recruiting student-athletes of high academic and athletic abilities within Emory & Henry, South Atlantic Conference, and NCAA regulations.
- Oversee study tables, practice, individual workouts and other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the monitoring of the academic progress and eligibility of student athletes.
- Assist with preparing the game schedule, social media, fundraising and scouting.
- Extensive travel is required
- Experience in ARMS and Synergy is preferred.
- Perform other duties as responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics and/or the Head Coach.

- | **Qualifications** |
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, masters preferred.
- Experience with an intercollegiate basketball program, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required.
In addition, the successful applicant must be AED and CPR certified

**Required:**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Collegiate or high-level coaching and/or playing experience in women’s basketball.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
**Preferred:**
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience recruiting at the collegiate level.
- Familiarity with video editing and game analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Synergy).
- Understanding of NCAA Division II rules and recruiting regulations.

### **Working Conditions:**
- Extensive travel and non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Physical demands may include demonstrating drills and lifting equipment.
