## Start the Day in One of Richmond's Most Iconic Cafés

Can Can Coffee House is the morning side of **Can Can Brasserie**, bringing the charm of a Parisian café to Carytown. Fresh croissants come out of the oven each morning, French music fills the room, and guests start their day with great coffee and warm hospitality.

We are looking for an experienced morning barista who takes pride in their craft and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

This is an early-morning role perfect for someone who loves the rhythm of a busy café and enjoys finishing work before the afternoon.

## Schedule

**Monday - Saturday:** 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM

**Sunday:** 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Morning availability, weekends, and holidays are required.

## What You'll Do

• Greet every guest with warmth and energy
• Prepare espresso, drip coffee, and specialty drinks using a traditional espresso machine
• Customize drinks with care, accuracy, and speed
• Recommend pastries and menu items to enhance the guest experience
• Keep the espresso bar clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Maintain flow during busy morning service
• Support the café team with light food prep, bussing, and upkeep as needed
• Bring a positive and professional attitude to every shift

## Pay & Growth Opportunity
**Training Rate:**
$13/hour for the first 4 training shifts (training shifts are not tipped)
**After Training:**

• Base pay starting at **$10/hour**
• Tip pool averages **$7-$10/hour additional**

**Typical earnings:** **$17-$20/hour including tips**
There is also an opportunity to grow into a leadership role within the Coffee House service, increasing both responsibility and earning potential.

• Previous barista or café experience preferred
• Comfort working with espresso machines and preparing high-quality drinks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Positive, guest-first attitude
• Dependable and punctual for early morning shifts
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about specialty beverages
• Attention to detail and high standards for beverage quality
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads (up to 25 lbs)
