About The Role
## Description
The Inventory Auditor is responsible for advanced inventory reconciliation, performs advanced inventory audits, conducts root cause investigations, and supports internal controls across multiple retail clients. This role serves as a subject matter expert in inventory and audit processes and supports operational compliance initiatives.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Conduct comprehensive audits across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring discrepancies
- Audit system transactions for compliance and accuracy
- Validate inventory adjustments and ensure proper approval workflows
- Monitor inventory accuracy KPIs and shrink metrics
- Support client-specific compliance requirements
- Prepare audit reports with findings and corrective action recommendations
- Assist in annual physical inventory coordination
- Train and guide Level I Inventory Auditors
- Support SOP development and updates
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and IT on inventory issues
- Support Operational functions with resources as business dictates and time permits.
- Other tasks as required to meet goals.
## Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred
- 3+ years inventory or audit experience
- 3PL and retail distribution experience strongly preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data filtering)
- Strong understanding of WMS transactions and inventory flows
- Experience conducting investigations and documenting findings
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Forklift experience.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
**Working Conditions**
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to various temperature changes.
- May require standing or walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible work hours, including occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods or physical inventories.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities as required.
