Pharmacist (81337)

## Description

Provides care of patients by optimizing medication use, clinical monitoring, and drug distribution services. Compounds and dispenses medications using medication orders authorized by a legally authorized prescriber. Instructs patients as necessary on medications including drug interaction. Reviews patient medication history for allergies, drug interactions, duplicate therapies, and safety. Supervises and directs pharmacy technicians and other support personnel. Reports to the Director of Pharmacy.

## Qualifications

Education/Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist and eligible to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina

Experience

One year of inpatient or outpatient pharmacy experience preferred but not required
