**Snapshot of Daily Duties**

  • Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
  • Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
  • Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
  • Assist in maintaining general medical records.
  • Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
  • Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
  • Will be crossed trained in FibroScans, Patient Check In, Scheduling and other specialized training.

**The Must Haves**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
  • Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
  • BLS certified required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
  • Ability to Float between other office locations - travel is required.
