About The Role
## Description
Teach courses in the discipline as assigned by the dean or chair; provide academic advising to students; maintain an active scholarly agenda of research and service; serve on departmental, school, and college committees; engage in assessment requirements; participate in community service and outreach programs; and work collaboratively with colleagues and other programs.
Teach 12 sch per semester
- Provide advising to assigned students
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and co-curricular enhancements
- Serve on committees on department, school, and college levels
- Engage in scholarly research appropriate for rank
- Participate in public service initiatives
## Qualifications
Record of (or demonstrated potential for) successful college teaching
·Familiarity with development and implementation of courses using Open Educational Resources and virtual platforms
- Demonstrated interest in facilitating student learning and engagement
- Demonstrated commitment to professional responsibilities, student development, and service
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned master’s degree in the teaching discipline
- Commitment to excellence in college teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning
- Ability to demonstrate collegiality and a sound work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of teaching experience in higher education
- Record of teaching effectiveness
- Experience with learning management systems and online teaching and learning
