## Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
Crystal seeks a Seasonal part-time Varsity Girls Tennis Head Coach. The Varsity Girls Tennis Head Coach is responsible for the oversight of athletic training; strength and conditioning workouts; providing technical support and training to athletes, and overall communication as appropriate to the sport. Coaches have responsibilities not only to the students under their supervision, but also to the parents, the school, and the community.

Essential Functions

- Exhibits and mentors the scholar-athletes in good sportsmanship and fair play.
- Attends league meetings and completes all required trainings/certifications.
- Attends mandatory coaches’ meetings and trainings.
- Attends pre-season Athletics meetings (in the evening) with scholar-athletes and parents/guardians.
- Monitors the conduct of their scholar-athletes during practices and games.
- Provides a safe environment for the scholar-athletes by checking the playing area and equipment before each practice and game/competition.
- Prevents injuries through thoughtful, balanced workouts.
- Instructs scholar-athletes in the basic rules and fundamentals of the sport.
- Assists in implementing training programs for the Athletic Development Program.
- Implements athlete registration and evaluations and maintains the evaluation database.
- Reports match scores.
- Sends weekly communication email to scholar-athletes and their parents/guardians with a look ahead to the coming 1-2 weeks (practices and games), objectives for that week, and any other pertinent information.
- Regularly communicates with scholar-athletes, parents/guardians, and the Athletics Department to ensure a positive experience for all scholar-athletes/the team.
