| **Job Duties:** |

| - Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn 4 Steps to Memorable Service. - Exhibit’s the Gasparilla Inn’s Core Values. - Use correct Cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. - Clean guest rooms by category of priority or as directed in the morning line up. - Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linen to assigned guest room and position securely. - Service assigned guest rooms. - Clean as needed: empty trash and trash containers. - Remove all dirty linen and terry from the room and replace with clean. - Remove soil dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor. - Replace facial, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location. - Remove dirty bed linen and makeup bed with clean linen free of tears or stains and replace as needed. - Replace laundry bags and slips. Ensure there are 18 hangers in closet (8 skirts and 10 regular hangers). - Clean closets and door tracks on check out rooms and remove items left by guest (dust inside). - Dust and polish all furniture. - Realign furniture to floor plan. - Open all drawers in check out rooms and remove items left by guest (dust inside). - Check under bed(s), chairs and sofa and cushions for debris and remove if present. - Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains, report any damages to the team leader. - Remove all dust, debris on television, clock radio, and remote control. - Set correct time on clock(s). - Clean lamps and light switches and check for proper working order. - Remove dust, spots and smears from phone and reposition properly. - Empty liquid from ice bucket and wipe all surfaces dry. - Remove dust on drapes weekly or when needed between weekly cleans and realign to correct position daily. - Remove trash, debris and cobwebs from balcony or patio. - Remove dust from blinds and set at 45 degree angle. - Ensure presence of fire safety and “privacy” sign. Inspect condition and replace as needed. - Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from entrance doors and trim throughout the room. - Check A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostats to make sure they are free from dust, dirt and smudges. Also set thermostat to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. - Make sure to remove all dust, stains, and marks from all baseboards, ledges and corners. - Vacuum carpet in guest rooms as well as around the corridor and remove all stains. Report overall carpet cleanliness to Supervisor. - Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet and on the phone by dialing \*45. - At the end of the shift, return and restock cart. - Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum. - Ensure security of any assigned keys and storage closet. - Complete Work Orders for Maintenance repairs and submit to maintenance. Contact a supervisor directly for urgent repairs. - To take complete ownership and accountability of a daily planning and preparation phase. - To know, comply with and enforce all hotel and departmental standards, policies, and procedures. - To take an ownership, “stewardship” position within the department and hotel to ensure operational excellence. - To assist in the writing of additional standards, policies, and procedures for the department. - Promote and support effective Departmental and hotel communication through the use of phones, voice-mail, radios, written correspondence and verbal communication. To respond to all messages promptly. - Maintain complete working knowledge of: - V.I.P.’s, scheduled in-house group names, background, activities, locations, and times as well as special requests/arrangements. - Correct use and maintenance of equipment. - All department policies and service procedures. - Provide warm welcome, and anticipation of guest needs throughout their stay. - Assist Houseman, Housekeeping Supervisors, Turndown Attendant, Public Area Attendants and Laundry Attendants with their job function to ensure optimum service to guests. - Promote positive internal and external guest relations at all times. Foster and promote a cooperative working environment, maximizing productivity and employee morale. - Adhere to all safety and security standards for the proper use of all equipment. Be aware of all surroundings so as to prevent accidents and not damage property. - All other duties as assigned. |
