Our Patient Accounting team plays a vital role in ensuring patients and families receive accurate, timely billing services while supporting the financial health of our Hospice program. We're seeking a detail-oriented **Hospice Collector/Biller I** to help manage hospice billing, payment posting, collections, and accounts receivable while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

### **In This Role, You Will:**

• Prepare, review, and submit hospice claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance carriers, and private payers.
• Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments while ensuring payment accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or underpaid claims.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment variances, and credit balances.
• Prepare corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals as needed.
• Respond professionally to patient and payer billing inquiries.
• Collaborate with Hospice leadership and Revenue Cycle departments to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare Hospice regulations, CMS requirements, HIPAA, and payer guidelines.
• Support month-end reconciliation, audits, reporting, and other Revenue Cycle initiatives.

### **What We're Looking For:**

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Hospice billing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, ICD-10 and CPT coding principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
