Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Work with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
  • Support recovery from injury, surgery, or illness through therapeutic exercises and techniques
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate residents and families on mobility strategies, safety, and injury prevention
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, SLP, and nursing
  • Participate in care planning and goal setting
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Provide care in a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment

## Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
