## Description
Scope
As a **Mobility Equipment Field Service Contractor (1099)**, you will maintain and repair mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and related equipment at customer locations throughout the **Greater Atlanta area**. This role is ideal for an independent contractor with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working in the field and providing excellent customer service.
### Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including batteries, chargers, brakes, tires, and controllers.
- Complete equipment inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Replace parts and perform routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Respond to service calls at multiple customer locations throughout the Atlanta area.
- Safely operate hand and power tools required for equipment repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders using a mobile device.
- Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
- Work a flexible schedule, including occasional mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Maintain reliable transportation and basic tools necessary to perform field service work.

## Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience as a maintenance repair contractor in a similar industry
- Mechanically inclined
- Detail-oriented and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and on call
- Provides own tools and equipment
