**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As an Assistant/Intern Teacher at CLA/VPA, you’ll have the opportunity to
- **Co-Teach and Lead Small Group Instruction**: Assist with teaching and classroom lessons while providing targeted support to individual students at either CLA (PK–5) or VPA (6–12)
- **Prepare Instructional Materials**: Help with the preparation and distribution of lesson materials, assignments, and resources
- **Support Classroom Management**: Assist with grading, behavior management, and overall classroom supervision
- **Help with School Routines**: Support daily school routines such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess
- **Collaborate with Educators**: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to reinforce a positive, engaging learning environment

- **Is Detail-Oriented and Communicative**: You are organized, have strong communication skills, and are attentive to the needs of your students
- **Is Willing to Learn**: You’re eager to apply for and maintain a **Colorado Substitute License** and take on new challenges in education
- **Is Ready to Grow**: You are passionate about developing as an educator and making a difference in students’ lives
## Qualifications
**Minimum Qualifications**
- **Bachelor’s degree** (in any field)
- **Willingness to Apply for and Maintain a Colorado Substitute License**
- Ability to pass a **background check**
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required

Please note, **Victory Preparatory Academy** operates on a **4-day student week**, with Mondays set aside for planning, collaboration, and enrichment. **Community Leadership Academy** follows a standard schedule.
