**Locations:** Galloway, Jackson, and West Deptford, New Jersey, with periodic travel to Bayonne

**Status:** Full time

**Compensation:** $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, with flexibility based on wound care experience

**Position Summary**

Skin and Aesthetic Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant with hands-on wound care experience to serve as the primary Medical Assistant supporting our wound care physician. This is a clinical role for someone who is confident with wound assessment, dressing changes, and procedural support, and who works well in a close partnership with a single provider across multiple offices. Prior wound care experience is required and is not something we are able to train in this position.

**Locations and Travel**

This position supports the wound care physician across our Galloway, Jackson, and West Deptford locations on a set, predictable schedule rather than one that shifts week to week. Travel to Bayonne is expected approximately one to two times per month. Mileage is reimbursed for travel beyond thirty miles from your home address. A valid driver license and reliable transportation are required.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Serve as the primary Medical Assistant for the wound care physician across all assigned locations
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and record patient histories and medication lists
• Assist with wound assessment, measurement, staging, and documentation of healing progression
• Perform and assist with wound cleansing, dressing changes, and debridement procedures
• Set up and maintain sterile fields and prepare instruments and supplies for procedures
• Apply compression therapy and advanced or specialty dressings as directed by the provider
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and OSHA protocols without exception
• Document patient encounters accurately and completely in the electronic medical record
• Reinforce provider wound care instructions with patients and coordinate follow up scheduling
• Manage supply inventory and stock treatment rooms at each location
• Support patient flow so that clinic days run on schedule across a traveling caseload

• **Qualifications**
• **Required**

• Demonstrated hands-on wound care experience in a clinical setting
• Medical Assistant experience including rooming, vital signs, and clinical documentation
• Strong sterile technique and working knowledge of infection control standards
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between the listed locations
• Comfort operating as the sole Medical Assistant supporting one provider

**Preferred**

• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
• Experience in a dedicated wound care center, dermatology, podiatry, or vascular practice
• Familiarity with compression wraps and advanced wound care products
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Electronic medical record experience

**Compensation and Travel Reimbursement**

The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. There is flexibility above that range for candidates whose wound care experience supports it. Mileage is reimbursed for travel beyond thirty miles from the employee home address.
