## Description

**Position Summary**

The CT Lead Mechanic is responsible for providing Shop Mechanics with guidance in repair on oil field and mechanical equipment, diesel engine vehicles, control systems, and HVAC systems; using resources and tools to troubleshoot equipment issues and find effective solutions; training less experienced employees; and conducting periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement in the shop environment.

**Essential Job Functions**

  • Direct Shop Mechanics to reliably and consistently maintain and repair company mechanical equipment and vehicles while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Manage preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, vehicles, forklifts, manlifts, light towers, generators, heaters, oilfield heavy equipment (including flowmeters, pressure control equipment, and separators), and other mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect machines and other mechanical equipment and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
  • Use technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors.
  • Train shop mechanic employees on company operational and safety procedures.
  • Lead by example in maintaining all company facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
  • Maintain records with accurate documentation of service and repairs.
  • Maintain company tools and equipment by following operating and safety instructions.

## Qualifications
**Skills and Qualifications**

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Certification from trade or technical school in maintenance or repair or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 6 years of mechanic experience.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to uphold company safety standards.
  • Proficiency in understanding and interpreting mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather and physical conditions.
  • ASE and/or CMRT certification preferred.
