**Primary Placement:** Westview Nursing Center (Peabody, KS) / Hillsboro Office

**Position Type:** Part-Time (less than 30 hours/week)

**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, daytime hours between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with schedule flexibility)

Due to tremendous growth in patient needs, **Prairie View** is seeking a compassionate, skilled **Part-Time Outpatient Clinician** to serve clients at **Westview Nursing Center in Peabody, KS** (with coordination through our Hillsboro location).

In this vital half-time role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to adults, seniors, and families. You’ll deliver essential on-site mental health support—helping nursing facility residents and community members navigate emotional, behavioral, and life transitions through therapy, evaluation, and collaborative care.

### **What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)**

#### **On-Site & Outpatient Clinical Care**

  • **Direct Clinical Services:** Provide competent assessments, diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, and family consultations at Westview Nursing Center and connected outpatient settings.
  • **Specialized Care & Interventions:** Deliver tailored, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address the unique behavioral health needs of adults, seniors, and their support networks.
  • **Collaborative Care:** Partner closely with nursing center staff, interdisciplinary care teams, families, and referral sources to ensure seamless coordination of care from admission through discharge.

#### **Documentation, Quality & Productivity**

  • **Timely Documentation:** Complete thorough clinical records within required standards (progress notes and evaluations within 48 business hours).
  • **Part-Time Productivity:** Maintain an average client encounter norm adjusted proportionally for half-time hours (~12–14 encounters per week).
  • **Quality & Growth:** Participate in Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, clinical supervision, and annual professional development planning.

### **What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)**
#### **Education & Licensure**

  • **State Licensure:** Active professional licensure in the State of Kansas is required.
  • **Preferred Licenses:** LSCSW, LCMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD.
  • **Master's-Level Candidates:** LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP candidates actively working toward independent clinical licensure are encouraged to apply!
  • **Privileging & Clearances:** Ability to obtain clinical privileges for outpatient assessments/therapy and pass required background screenings (KBI, Central Registry, and DCF).

#### **Experience & Skills**

  • **Clinical Background:** Experience providing behavioral health services to adults, seniors, or families in outpatient or residential/long-term care settings.
  • **Assessment & Empathy:** Strong diagnostic and observational skills to evaluate clinical needs, demeanor, and non-verbal communication effectively.
  • **Communication & Adaptability:** Exceptional interpersonal and verbal skills to engage with residents, families, and multi-disciplinary nursing facility staff.
  • **Organization & EHR:** Skilled at managing a flexible part-time caseload and documenting efficiently within electronic health record systems.

## Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Professional independent licensure in State of Kansas is required; LSCSW, LMLP, Psy. D, Ph.D, LPCP or LCMFT preferred; if LMSW, LMFT, or LMLP, must be working toward clinical independent licensure.
  • Minimum Experience: Practicum, internship, or other experience working with children and adolescents, adults, families and group work and experience coordination of services with other State Protective and private collateral agencies is required
  • Must have good listening skills, verbal skills, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to observe patient demeanor and nonverbal communication for assessment purposes
  • Must be able and willing to have some flexibility in scheduling, to meet patient and organization needs
  • Must maintain Kansas State licensure and appropriate CEU’s
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with referral sources and external care providers
  • Must have credentials or experience sufficient to be privileged to do outpatient admissions, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, neuropsychological and psychological testing (as appropriate to credentials) and collateral consultations
  • Must be proficient at basic keyboarding/word processing skills
  • Must be able to pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation Screen, Central Registry Screen, and DCF (Kansas Dept. for Children & Families, formerly SRS) background check
