**Position Overview:**

The Facilities Technician II independently performs skilled building maintenance and repair work across multiple Co-op facilities. This role is responsible for diagnosing routine maintenance issues, executing preventive maintenance activities, and supporting the operational reliability of facility systems and equipment.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**

  1. Independently perform skilled maintenance and repair work including:
  2. carpentry
  3. drywall and finish work
  4. flooring repairs
  5. door and hardware repairs
  6. basic HVAC maintenance
  7. plumbing repairs
  8. equipment repairs
  9. Diagnose and troubleshoot routine building, equipment, and maintenance issues
  10. Execute preventive maintenance programs and document completed work
  11. Read and work from floor plans, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation
  12. Prioritize and complete assigned work orders with limited supervision
  13. Support facility projects, remodels, and equipment installations
  14. Respond to facility emergencies and operational disruptions including after-hours situations as assigned
  15. Assist in maintaining inventory and recommending supply or equipment needs
  16. Provide guidance and support to Technician I employees as needed
  17. Coordinate work activities effectively to minimize operational disruption to stores and service areas
  18. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation
  19. Promote and model safe work practices and regulatory compliance
  20. Participate in departmental meetings and required trainings
  21. Adhere to all Co-op policies, procedures, and code of conduct
  22. Perform other duties as assigned

## Qualifications
**Required Skills/Experience and Attributes:**

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. 3–5 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
  3. Working knowledge of:
  4. carpentry
  5. plumbing
  6. HVAC systems
  7. building repairs
  8. preventive maintenance practices
  9. Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues
  10. Ability to read and interpret floor plans, schematics, and technical documents
  11. Experience using maintenance management/work order systems
  12. Strong organizational and time management skills
  13. Basic proficiency with computer systems and documentation software
  14. Strong communication and customer service skills
  15. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  16. Valid driver’s license and minimum age requirement of 18 years

**Attendance Requirement:**

This job requires the ability to work a 40-hour week Monday-Friday, flexible hours and occasional nights and/or weekends if required. Schedules are subject to change based on coverage of specific business units. This position will be on rotational “on-call” coverage.

The salary range for this position is $20.25 - $27.00. This range represents the full earning potential for the role as skills and tenure grow. The expected hiring range is $21.00 - $22.00, which supports internal equity and aligns with current budget parameters, while preserving opportunity for future increases.
