At the Atterbury Job Corps Center, we work with youth ages 16-24 and provide them residential services, and academic and career training, all at no cost to the student. We are a federally funded program administered by the Department of Labor. We are a year-round, self-paced program for our students. **WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Provide guidance to help students maintain a positive attitude and proper behavior in dormitory living, supporting their goals and objectives
- Determine, recommend, and arrange student visits to counselors
- Assist with unit activities, including unit government
- Patrol and monitor dormitories and the Center to ensure student safety and behavior, resolving issues as they arise
- Prepare daily operations reports, pass lists, and other student-related administrative correspondence
- Direct students and assist with dormitory cleanup and maintenance
- Recommend or requisition supplies needed for dorm living and student safety
- Maintain dormitory and individual student files, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Enter student case notes into the Center information system
- Support career development services by fostering a safe living environment and positive peer leadership within the dorm
- Provide guidance, counseling, group sessions, and independent living skills instruction
- Support, promote, and enforce Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy
- Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff, and other Center customers
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- **High Schooone year of Job Corps or related program experiencel Diploma or equivalent** (required)
- *Minimum* of (required)
- **Valid in-state driver's license** (preferred)
- Ability to **lift 40 pounds** and perform physical tasks including **standing, climbing, walking, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching**, or ability to assess lift load and request assistance **as needed**

## Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required.
- A valid in-State Driver’s License preferred.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
