👥 Reports To: Director of Tennis

📌 Supervises: Tennis Pro Shop Attendants

Snowmass Club is looking for a Tennis Professional who brings strong teaching ability, energy, and leadership to help elevate our tennis program and member experience.

✨ What You’ll Do

🎾 Teaching & Player Development

  • Provide private and group tennis lessons for juniors and adults
  • Teach across various surfaces (indoor and outdoor courts)
  • Adapt instruction to all skill levels while maintaining proper technique and safety
  • Support and grow junior development programs

📅 Member Experience & Programming

  • Coordinate and promote adult leagues, mixers, and tennis socials
  • Assist with tournaments and special tennis events
  • Supervise events and ensure a fun, engaging atmosphere
  • Build strong relationships with members and guests

📞 Pro Shop & Court Operations

  • Answer phones, book court reservations, and schedule lessons
  • Process member purchases and lesson billing
  • Assist with daily operations of the tennis facilities
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of courts and pro shop

🛠️ Equipment & Facility Support

  • String, re-grip, and perform basic racket repairs
  • Assist with court maintenance and general facility upkeep
  • Ensure equipment and playing areas are in excellent condition

🏆 Team Contribution

  • Promote a positive and professional work environment
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to program development
  • Collaborate with the Director of Tennis on scheduling and events
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

## Qualifications
💼 What You Bring

  • College degree preferred; background in Physical Education or Sports Management a plus
  • 2–3 years of competitive playing and tennis instruction experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience running junior programs strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Player rating of 4.0 or higher
  • ---
  • 🎓 Certifications
  • USPTA or PTR certification required
  • Knowledge of court maintenance and facility operations preferred

  • 💪 Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to demonstrate and control swing speed during instruction
  • Stamina to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Continuous standing, walking, running, bending, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and use hand tools as needed
