Reports directly to: ReStore Manager

Department: ReStore; Non-Exempt

Service week (days/hours): Sunday - Saturday; Part-Time, Shifts Vary, 24 hours a week

Required meetings: Monthly all-staff meetings, all scheduled meeting

**Position Objective**

At Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia(“HFHP”), **we are builders who work alongside, not for others. We are driven by accountability and defined by our stick-to itiveness.** The ReStore Associate represents the Habitat brand through courteous interactions with potential donors and customers to support our mission and support ReStore operations.

**Specific Duties:**

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Putting incoming donations from receiving docks in the proper location.
  • Helping to unload donation trucks in the warehouse as instructed by ReStore Manager.
  • Moving priced items to the showroom floor.
  • Assist customers through the purchase process.
  • Adhering to the ReStore’s recycling efforts.
  • Assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise.

**Cashier duties:**

  • Welcoming customers
  • Answering the front desk phone
  • Assist customers through the purchase process
  • Provide general assistance to customers, answering questions and directing them to the correct area.
  • Ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.
  • Maintain a clean and accessible front desk area
  • All other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:**

  • No experience is necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be professional in appearance and a good ambassador of the Habitat brand.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish, foster, and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public.
  • Ability to work weekends when needed.
  • Able to arrive at work promptly and dress neatly in a Habitat for Humanity shirt.
  • Able to do heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Team Player able to help in the warehouse and sales floor as needed.

**Benefits:**

  • This position is eligible for paid vacation, sick time, and holidays according to days and hours worked. Salary is commensurate with experience.
