**Location:** Southfield, MI

**Pay:** $20.00 per hour

**Schedule:** Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Asher Staffing has an immediate opening for an experienced **Apartment Maintenance Technician** to join a professional property management team in Southfield. This is a full-time, first-shift position for a dependable individual with apartment maintenance experience who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-maintained communities.

## Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
• Experience with apartment turns (make-ready units)
• Basic HVAC knowledge
• Basic plumbing experience
• Ability to perform general maintenance and repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable with the ability to work independently

## Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Completing apartment turns (make-ready units)
• Performing general maintenance and repairs throughout the property
• Oiling door knobs, locks, hinges, and gates as needed
• Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains
• Replacing carpet and wood flooring as needed
• Installing and repairing electrical outlets, plugs, and light switches
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas
• Painting common areas and exterior surfaces
• Collecting and disposing of trash in common areas
• Monitoring maintenance inventory and requesting supplies as needed
• Inspecting and maintaining fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits
• Assisting tenants with lockouts when appropriate
• Coordinating and scheduling repairs that require specialized contractors or technical expertise
• Performing other maintenance duties as assigned
