## Licensed Security Guard

As a Licensed Security Guard at Cerberus Security, you’ll be a trusted protector of our clients’ spaces. This role goes beyond observation — you’ll actively safeguard people and property, respond to incidents with professionalism, and uphold the standards that make Cerberus a name clients rely on. We’re looking for individuals who bring both vigilance and warmth to every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and respond to unauthorized activity, safety hazards, or emergencies
• Monitor surveillance systems and access points to ensure secure operations
• Enforce property rules and regulations with courtesy and consistency
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances with appropriate licensed actions
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and enforcement actions
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when needed
• Provide guidance and reassurance to staff, visitors, and clients during routine and emergency situations
• Maintain a professional presence that reflects Cerberus Security’s commitment to safety and respect

Authority & Limitations

• May carry approved security equipment in accordance with licensing and company policy
• Authorized to perform detainment or enforcement actions when necessary and within legal scope
• Must operate strictly within the bounds of state licensure and Cerberus protocols
• Expected to de-escalate situations whenever possible and prioritize safety

## Qualifications

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued security guard license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Commitment to teamwork and respectful client service

Work Environment

• May include indoor and outdoor settings such as corporate offices, retail spaces, construction sites, or events
• Requires standing, walking, and occasional physical response
