Are you looking for a flexible, part-time job where you can share your love of basketball? Do you have a strong understanding of the game and a passion for mentoring young athletes? If so, this role is for you!

The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking enthusiastic coaches to lead our **in-house Travel Basketball League for 3rd to 8th graders.** In this role, you’ll teach fundamental skills, help players deepen their understanding of the game, and foster a positive, competitive environment. As a coach, you’ll not only guide your team on the court but also serve as a mentor—fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

**What You Bring:**

• Availability to coach at least one night per week and on Saturdays to ensure a consistent, high-quality player experience.
• A competitive spirit balanced with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship.
• Experience working with school-age youth in sports, recreation, or structured programs.
• Excellent communication skills with players, parents, and staff.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to support the unique needs of all participants.

## Qualifications

• Previous Coaching experience preferred
• Availability at least 1 evening per week to coach at the Cape Ann YMCA
• Personable demeanor and ability to effectively communicate with children and adults
• Reliable transportation required for league travel on the North Shore
