**About the Urgent Care Program**
The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first program of it's kind in the Kansas City area that provides the community immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, the BHUCC team provides care to clients every day of the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the client's and community's needs.
**What You’ll Do**
- This is a working supervisor position that combines team leadership responsibilities with direct client care, including providing clinical assessments and meeting established productivity expectations.
- Collaborate with internal leaders and community partners—including healthcare providers, law enforcement, courts, managed care organizations, and referral sources—to ensure timely access to services and positive outcomes for those we serve.
- Monitor program performance and prepare reports, recommendations, and updates for organizational leadership and funding partners.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance service quality, operational effectiveness, and client outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards while supporting the financial health and sustainability of assigned programs.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for growth, improve processes, and strengthen program performance.
**Requirements of the Position**
- Master’s Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health)
- Active clinical license in the State of Missouri, which includes: Psychologist, License Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required.
- Provisionally licensed individuals may be considered with contingency to receive licensure within a determined timeframe.
- Two (2) years of experience in a direct service provision in a mental health setting preferred.
- Familiarity with mental illness and substance use disorders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and the use of email)
**Schedule Requirements**
- Full-time position, consisting of three (3) 12-hour shifts each week, plus one (1) 8-hour shift every other week.
- Urgent Care operates seven (7) days per week; candidates must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
