## Description
Position Summary
- The Senior Systems Administrator is a hands-on infrastructure professional responsible for supporting the
- stability, security, and continuous improvement of Chris-Leef’s IT infrastructure and end-user technology
- environment. This role is expected to take ownership of day-to-day systems administration, infrastructure
- projects, escalated support, vendor coordination, documentation, and operational follow-through.
- The ideal candidate is experienced, self-directed, highly accountable, and comfortable supporting a small-tomid-
- sized business environment where strong communication, urgency, and practical problem solving are
- essential. This position works closely with the Manager of IT and business leadership to keep systems secure,
- reliable, and aligned with company needs.
- This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator who is ready to take on broader ownership,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administer and maintain core IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra services, Windows
Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and related business systems.
Own day-to-day infrastructure operations, including monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, change planning,
documentation, and proactive issue resolution.
Provide leadership for escalated help desk and end-user support issues while coaching and assisting other IT
team members as needed.
Manage endpoint administration and remote monitoring tools, including device deployment, software
installation, security configuration, inventory, and lifecycle support.
Maintain and improve identity, access, and security controls across users, devices, applications, network
resources, and cloud services.
Support and manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPN,
VLANs, routing, and network monitoring.
Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, including routine validation,
documentation, and recovery testing where appropriate.
Support cybersecurity tools and processes including endpoint security, email security, MFA, vulnerability
remediation, security alerts, and incident response coordination.
Perform root-cause analysis using logs, monitoring tools, vendor resources, and structured troubleshooting
methods.
Assist with technical planning, architecture, and implementation of infrastructure improvements, migrations,
upgrades, and security initiatives.
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and support partners to resolve issues and maintain effective
service delivery.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, diagrams, asset information, and administrative
records.
Support compliance, audit, and security review activities by gathering evidence, improving controls, and
remediating identified gaps.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
- preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- 4+ years of progressive systems administration, infrastructure support, or equivalent hands-on IT operations
- experience in a business environment.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft cloud services, including Exchange Online, Teams,
- SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure/Entra ID, users, groups, licensing, and security settings.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file permissions, and core
- Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Experience administering firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and general network
- troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting endpoint management, patching, remote monitoring, endpoint security, and user
- device lifecycle processes.
- Experience with backup administration, disaster recovery concepts, and business continuity support.
- Ability to participate in occasional off-hours support or maintenance windows when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tools and platforms such as NinjaOne, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, Duo, SonicWall, UniFi,
- Veeam, Dropsuite, or similar systems.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and SQL/database concepts.
- Experience in a regulated business environment or with audit/compliance support, cyber insurance
- questionnaires, PCI/security reviews, or similar requirements.

- Experience creating IT documentation, standard operating procedures, network diagrams, support
- playbooks, and administrative runbooks.
- Experience coordinating with MSPs, software vendors, telecom providers, security partners, or infrastructure
- support vendors.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, or security-focused certifications are a
- plus.
