The Center at Tucson is looking to hire a Speech Therapist now!
**Shift Availability:**Full time or PRN days
**Pay:**Full time $45-55/hour, PRN $55/hour, dependent on experience
**Job Description:**The Speech Therapist (ST) assesses and evaluates patients who would benefit from skilled speech therapy services and develops an appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practices requirements.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Effectively screen/evaluate patients with possible communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
- Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness
- Provide comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
- Work closely with patients, family members and other care team members to adequately plan for patient needs, to include short term and long term goals

## Qualifications
**Education, licensure, certifications, and experience:**
- Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
- Must possess a current and valid Speech Therapist license.
- Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- 1 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
**Other Job Requirements:**
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
