ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs routine dental treatments on inmates referred by the medical staff
• Documents completed with all services provided to the inmate in the inmate’s medical record
• Instructs patients on proper improper dental care
• Reviews policies/procedures yearly as related to dental
• Assists the jail in developing and implementing policies that will ensure high quality dental care, such as emergency dental treatment of inmates, prescribe medications and special diets required for dental
• Any and all other duties as assigned

## Qualifications

• Active license in the state(s) in which services are to be provided, in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training
• 2+ years of related experience
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle
