# **Position Summary**

The Line Technician role is responsible for setting up and operating machines on the assigned production line while maintaining safe work practices. **The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, and experience in machine diagnosis.**

# **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Install, repair, and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Perform both scheduled and emergency/unscheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, detect potential failures, and make necessary mechanical or electrical adjustments.
  • Operate assigned production equipment, including start-up and shut-down procedures, in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
  • Maintain production flow by keeping line speed consistent and preventing backups or product pileups.
  • Perform corrective maintenance, repairs, changeovers, and block changes during production as needed.
  • Support equipment upgrades and process improvements for new products or production methods.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, safety practices, and overall efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols, actively support safety initiatives, and hold yourself and others accountable to safe behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, or in process of completion with a minimum of six months of manufacturing or production experience, including Prinsco experience.
  • Experienced in or the ability to learn electrical knowledge for this job required under NFPA 70E electrical standard.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Maintain a valid state auto driver’s license.
  • Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
  • Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise environment.
