About The Role

## Radiology Tech- PRN Carlsbad
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

  • - **Works for Multiple physicians**
  • **Must be able to work and travel to Artesia and Carlsbad**
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic imaging examinations according to department protocols.
  • Analyze imaging, synthesize imaging information and medical history, and document proper information for physician.
  • Assume responsibility for safety, mental and physical comfort of patient while in the care of the technologist.
  • Assist with daily operations of the department
  • Maintain diagnostic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies.
  • Use independent judgment during patient exam to accurately differentiate normal and pathologic findings.
  • Order and stock supplies for AGH material department.
  • Purge and maintain disposal log for plain film exams.
  • Assist Clinical assistants as time allows between exams.

  • - Basic computer skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

**Information Management:** Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
**Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety:** Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.
**ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:** Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.

**MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • **Education** – Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
  • **Work Experience** – N/A
  • **Training**- N/A
  • **License/Certification** – ARRT and State of New Mexico certifications; current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
