**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

  • - Obtain and document patient vitals.
  • Perform bedside testing.
  • Perform basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications.
  • Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
  • Clean and store equipment.
  • Maintain supply inventory and re-stock as required.
  • Perform basic clerical duties as needed.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • - As assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:**

  • - Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care.

**AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES:** Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
**Information Management:** Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.

**ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:** Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
## Qualifications
**MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • **Education** – High school diploma or equivalent; plus specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
  • **Work Experience** – clinic setting preferred.
  • **Training** – Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required.
  • **License/Certification –** Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.
