We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our team . As a cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties:**

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
• Assist with meal preparation for catering events and special occasions
• Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
• Responsible for set-up of carts to be delivered to resident dining areas, if applicable.
• Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors.
• Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.

**Skills:**

• - Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices
• - Experience in cooking and meal preparation, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
• - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• - Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• - Knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles

## Qualifications
**Ability and Experience requirements:**

• Must have previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting.
• Must have criminal record clearance.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to pass a background check and be at least 18 years of age

**Education Requirements**

• High school diploma is preferred.
