**Salary:** $20.55 - $25.03

**Location:**San Poil Treatment Center - Keller, WA

**Summary:**

San Poil Treatment Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Food Service Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for clients and staff in a residential treatment setting. The Food Service Cook plays a vital role in supporting client wellness and recovery by providing safe, healthy, and appealing meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment, takes pride in food preparation, and understands the importance of creating a positive dining experience.

**Essential Functions:**

  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and stored in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist with menu planning and food inventory management.
  • Maintain proper portion control and food presentation.
  • Monitor food temperatures and maintain required documentation.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and dining spaces.
  • Receive, store, and rotate food supplies using proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking food and kitchen supplies.
  • Accommodate special dietary needs as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, tribal, and facility food service regulations.
  • Participate in kitchen inspections and quality assurance activities.
  • Foster a welcoming and respectful dining environment for clients and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 12-18 months of restaurant type cooking experience in food services.
  • Current Food Worker Card or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
  • Must be a minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record will be required.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and any other pre-employment requirements established by the Colville Tribes.
  • Requires the ability to work outside normal business hours, including rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Requires the ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, and smell.
  • Requires the ability to frequently use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to routinely required to perform manual labor associated with food preparation for large groups, and to stand for long periods of time.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

**TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.**

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
