RN/LPN - Family Medicine - Windsor - Hybrid (On-Site Training)

## General Summary of Duties

Christie Clinic's department of Family Medicine in Champaign on Windsor is seeking a full-time RN or LPN from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days remote following the successful completion of department criteria.

Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.

## Job Qualifications and Expectations

**JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)**

• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
• Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
• Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
• Arrange for patient testing and admission.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
• Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
• Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority, and documenting appropriately.
• Attend and participate in departmental huddles.
• Obtain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
• Administer injections.
• Send prescription refills.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, etc.
• Administer IV therapy and push IV medications.
• Perform related work as required.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

• Professional nursing experience

**CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:**

• Possession of an Illinois State RN or LPN license
• CPR Certification

**TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.

**TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**

Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.

**PAY AND BENEFITS:**

The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.

RN pay range: $32.40 to $44.55 USD

LPN pay range: $22.94 to $31.54 USD
