## Description

• Perform preparation work prior or after painting such as grinding, sanding, buffing. For parts not painted, mask-off areas not to be painted.
• Fill cavities and dents as necessary and surfaces repaired area to attain required finish
• Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted using solvent, sandpaper and wire brush
• Moves painted articles from preparation area to and from paint booth
• Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materials
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Perform other tasks as assigned or approved by the supervisor

## Qualifications

• Background in paint and body repair with a minimum of 1 years hands-on experience.
• A High School or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred.
• Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time.
• Incumbent must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade such tools as required to complete the tasks assigned.
