**Cost Estimator - Manufacturing**

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now hiring a full-time Cost Estimator/Quoter, for our Carbide Manufacturing team to work with operations and sales to provide accurate estimates or job quotes and superior support services to internal and external carbide customers.

***Responsibilities:***

• Use experience & knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide job quotes in response to customer requests for carbide components, etc.
• Maintain a system of record keeping for all quotes to use as a reference tool for future quotes
• Work closely with manufacturing, operations, sales, engineering and quality teams to provide excellent customer service and maintain company profitability
• Provide summary reports and other regular and special reports as needed
• Continually evaluate and review effectiveness of pricing structures, quotation procedures and recommended improvements

## Qualifications
***Education/Experience*:**

• Candidate must possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior machining, engineering, or quoting experience
• Associate degree in mechanical drafting, preferred

***Knowledge and Skills*****:**

• Solid technical, mechanical and mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other product specifications and design data
• Effective computer literacy and ability to quickly learn and use required software
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines
• Familiarity with carbide manufacturing processes, preferred
• Able to work independently and with teams
• Ability to take intelligent, decisive risks and professional justify them as necessary
• Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks
• Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills
