Quality and Technical Support Specialist

## Description

SPR Packaging is a manufacturer of flexible packaging located in Rockwall, Texas. We supply printed plastic bags to major manufacturers in the US, in markets such as: Bakery, Ice, Consuming products, Tortilla and Lawn & Garden.

**Position Description:**

This person will provide technical assistance to customers and the sales team. Support quality control, sales, and R&D departments by providing on-site technical expertise related to customer complaints and approval processes.

**Du****ties:**

• Assess packaging equipment set up and performance.
• Evaluate how SPRs films and bags run on various lines.
• Troubleshoot and identify opportunities to improve product compatibility and efficiency.
• Lead root cause investigations for quality control claims.
• Collaborate on product development and improvement initiatives.
• Travel local and out of state as required by business needs.

## Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
• The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge
• Ability to interact confidently with operators, engineers, plant managers and purchasing teams.
• Will work cross functionally to enhance product performance and strengthen customer relationship
• Provide opportunities for SPR’s flexible packaging and agriculture solutions.
• Positive and energetic individuals that can work well with all levels of an organization; must be able to get along well with others and willing to work long hours when needed
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience with industrial packaging equipment is preferred but not required.
