## Qualifications

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Pharmacy Technician assists in the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy at Union Community Care. They work under the direction of the Staff Pharmacist to provide excellent service.

**SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES**

1. Prepare, deliver, and restock medications
2. Perform order entry
3. Procure drugs
4. Bill prescriptions
5. Assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
6. Carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Other duties as assigned

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**

High School Diploma or GED

• Current CPR certification
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Experience working with 340B preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Proficient computer skills
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written
• English proficiency required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

• In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-7 are considered essential functions of the job.
• **ORGANIZATIONAL INVOLVEMENT**
• This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.
