**JOB SUMMARY**
Support the transportation department by coordinating logistics, maintaining records, and ensuring efficient communication between internal teams and external partners.
**SHIFT NEEDED 10:30 AM TO 7:00 PM**
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

  • Maintain truck, barge and vessel freight bill processing
  • Create truck, railcar, barge and vessel freight documentation
  • Schedule claims, tracing and billing
  • Track fuel surcharge
  • Set up new carrier forms
  • Report to fleet
  • File both electronic and physical paperwork
  • Aid with maintaining logistics planning tasks.
  • Track shipments across multiple channels
  • Performs other tasks, duties or assignments as may be assigned by manager from time to time.
  • Analyzes markets and identifies changes within the freight industry to optimize lane capacity, margins.
  • Market opportunities for the company.
  • Negotiates pricing with carriers.
  • Responsible for carrier development to broker more efficient loads.
  • Works collaboratively with billing team to address concerns to ensure proper customer invoicing.
  • Communicates effectively with internal departments regarding capacity and back-haul coverage.
  • Manages and monitors multiple systems to ensure adequate supply of capacity, on-time performance and problem resolution challenges are addressed and communicated timely.
  • Assesses customer and carrier performance and provides feedback to management team.
  • Continuously improves service levels through ongoing recommendations for process improvements.
