We are seeking a School Social Worker to join our school-based behavioral health team and provide vital support services to students, families, and school communities.

**Position:** School Social Worker

**Location:** East Allegheny School District

**Schedule:** Full-Time | 10 months School-Year Position

**What You'll Do**

As a School Social Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting student success by

• Providing individual, group, and family-based interventions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Supporting students through crisis intervention and risk assessments
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners
• Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Assisting students and families in accessing community resources and support services
• Supporting attendance improvement and student engagement efforts
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve student well-being and school success
• Providing consultation and professional development to school staff when needed
• Helping students successfully transition between educational settings and levels of care

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain all required clearances, including FBI Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and Mandated Reporter Training certification.

## Qualifications

Required

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Active Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or eligibility for licensure
• Eligible for Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) School Social Worker Certification
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team

Preferred

• PDE School Social Worker Certification (Level I or Level II)
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school or community settings
• Knowledge of special education regulations, IEP processes, and school-based mental health services
