## Hospice Patient Visit Volunteer
***Recently Retired and have 4 Hours per Week?***
**Constellation Health Services' Hospice Program is looking for people to visit individuals who have a terminal illness. Seeking individuals who have the ability to listen deeply, an interest in and compassion for others, good boundaries and self-care, and meet people where they are in both energy and tone. Volunteers may spend time in conversation, read to a patient, look through photos together, share music or videos, offer a compassionate presence, or provide other meaningful support based on the patient’s interests and needs.**
**Join our compassionate hospice team, serve your community, and enjoy a flexible volunteer schedule. *Just a few hours each month can bring comfort, dignity, and connection to someone nearing the end of life.***
**Requirements:**
- Age: At least 18 years old.
- Time: 4 hours per week. We request a commitment to at least one year.
- Orientation: Online training takes approximately 20 hours and is personally enriching, focusing on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy.
- Wellness: We ask that you have had at least a year from any close deaths. We meet virtually 1 time a month.
