About The Role
## Description
JOB SUMMARY
TechnoGuard is seeking a detail-oriented Responsible Oversight (RO) coordinator to support construction projects within a data center environment. In this role, you will act as an on-site representative working closely with project managers, vendors, and data center operations teams to help ensure projects are completed to quality standards and are delivered within the expected timeframe.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to safety and policy compliance, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive and comfortable working on active construction sites within a data center setting while using digital tools to track project updates, coordinate teams, and support successful project delivery.
ABOUT TECHNOGUARD
TechnoGuard provides airflow management and containment solutions that help data centers operate safely, reliably, and at peak efficiency. Our team supports these facilities through design, fabrication, installation, and ongoing project support services.
Our success is built on skilled teams, strong safety standards, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in fast-paced technical environments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Responsible Oversight role is a partnership with a local data center provider to help implement and oversee important projects throughout a data center or campus, as third-party construction and project managers. We are the boots on ground; we augment client resources through oversight of on-site construction activities and the development and implementation of written procedures.
R.O. individuals oversee the majority of typical construction management activities, ensure safety and PPE expectations are upheld by vendors, draft and implement procedures, and develop project installation schedules with the vendors and onsite engineering team. Some activities (e.g., material/equipment procurement, vendor contract management) may only be performed by their direct PMs.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Overseeing construction activities for safety and policy adherence on behalf of the Project POC.
- Coordinate project schedules with the vendor, on-site operations and project point of contact.
- Submit site access requests for vendors as needed.
- Develop Procedures using pre-existing templates as reference (MOPs).
- Create change model management tickets (MCMs) to inform upper management of planned changes on site. Work through the review process that follows MCMs submittals, to ensure work moves forward as scheduled.
- Support weekly project updates (specific to the point of contact and project, either through email/Slack or Procore).
- Conduct morning briefs and facilitate MCM administration (ask onsite team to place MCM in “progress”).
- Receive deliveries.
- Use various computer programs throughout your daily activities: Slack, Excel, Word, Outlook, and a few additional internal programs.
- Assist with Commissioning coordination and scheduling on an as needed basis between the vendor and internal Cx teams. Ensure vendors complete check-list action items and submit documentation through the proper channels.
- Coordinate regular updates to the POC; either through calls, on-site communication, messaging applications, or emails.
- Lead team meetings with the vendors for morning updates/briefings, or on calls with the POC to coordinate updates to project status.
- Assist the POC as needed, as long as it is safe and within our means as a yellow badge contractor (no breaker actuations, overseeing critical installs, etc.)
