**Pay Scale:** $17 hourly base pay plus $2 per hour shift differential 8pm-8am Monday-Friday, $3 shift differential Sat/Sun

**Summary:**

**NIGHT SHIFT CRISIS WORKER/MENTOR**

The Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center, located in Asheville, provides short-term (5-7 day) treatment and stabilization services in a safe, child-friendly setting for youth in crisis across Western North Carolina. Our mentors are a vital part of our treatment team providing critical support to children ages 6 through 17. Responsible for providing support and care to meet the physical and psychological needs of consumers through providing direct and indirect care.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

• Provides supervision and monitoring of each consumer. Assist with and model appropriate daily living skills.
• Document any reported or observed symptoms of consumers and report to the team.
• Laundry/cleaning duties while clients sleep
• Participate in Shift Report.
• Provide transportation.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Education and/or Experience:** High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required with a minimum of 1-year experience with the population served and/or crisis experience, IDD experience is preferred. AA degree or a BS/ BA degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and proficient in reading, speaking, and writing.
