VVS Canteen is seeking a motivated, customer focused Food Service Manager to oversee functions of the employee cafeteria at the ­­­JBS Plant in Beardstown, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive food service experience, a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead 12-16 employees.

**Job Duties:**

• Oversee 12-16 employees on a daily basis including: hiring, training, discipline, and terminations.
• Follow weekly menus and recipes to be served to our customers.
• Follow all Food Safety Protocol.
• Complete operation functions such as ordering, inventory management, and scheduling.
• Compete any other tasks related to the overall operation of a commercial kitchen facility.

## Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Institutional Food Service Management or Restaurant Management.
• Excellent work history with work related references.
• Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
