About The Role

Join Santiam Hospital’s Cardiology team in Stayton, Oregon, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in a collaborative practice. As a community-based hospital, Santiam Hospital provides quality care to a service area of more than 40,000 throughout the Santiam Canyon and Willamette Valley. In this role, you will partner closely with one of the areas most skilled and reputable non-interventional cardiologist in a shared office setting to evaluate, manage, and support patients across the continuum of cardiology care.
Our practice utilizes a strong APP support model designed to maximize your efficiency and focus on patient care. You will benefit from a dedicated 1:1 Medical Assistant-to-provider ratio and an advanced EPIC electronic health record system equipped with integrated AI scribe technology. ***Practice Highlights***
- Full-time, 40 hours per week including 34 patient hours and 6 dedicated administrative hours. Possible 4-day work week available.
- Manage cardiac follow-up appointments and chronic cardiovascular disease cases.
- Interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) accurately.
- Perform thorough surgical cardiac clearance evaluations.
- Maintain a standard patient volume of 16 to 20 patients per day.
- Collaborate directly with the attending cardiologist on complex cases.
- **No call coverage.**
## Qualifications
**Ideal Candidate**
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) eligible for licensure in Oregon.
- 1 to 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology or internal medicine, including outpatient practice exposure.
- Strong EKG interpretation skills and sound independent clinical judgment.
- Efficient, patient-focused, and highly team-oriented.
- Comfortable managing common cardiovascular conditions independently, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and hypertension, with the ability to order appropriate diagnostic studies and optimize guideline-directed medical therapy.
- Good with communication and time management.
