OVERVIEW OF POSITION

The Intake Specialist processes new patient referrals and triages to an in network DME. The Intake Specialist shows organizational, time management, and communication skills to properly perform their tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Process new patient referral, including documentation review, patient contact, sample entry, documentation completion, and triage to an in network DME.
  2. Enter patient referrals into CRM software to ensure all relevant information is recorded properly for delivery and insurance processing.
  3. Manage and validate incoming clinical orders through the company's proprietary Loop platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
  4. Review new patient referral records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  5. Maintain a patient load of approximately 50-150 patients to confirm their documentation and justify the need for the products orders.
  6. Maintain a daily call volume of 25-45 calls with patients, healthcare providers, and referral sources to validate information, obtain required documentation, facilitate order closure, and ensure timely product delivery.
  7. Maintain proactive daily communication with Territory Managers, providing real-time prescription status updates and coordinating efforts to expedite order completion and product delivery.
  8. Complete insurance review to determine network status.
  9. Establish final determination on network status and contact patients to establish and communicate their continuum of care.
  10. Ensure open communication and collaboration between HR HealthCare Patient Services and third party DMEs with respect to orders transferred, ensuring that orders are timely processed per the transfer directives and other metrics are achieved to ensure patient satisfaction.

  • High level of Verbal Communication Skills Required
  • Call Center and, or Medical Records Experience Is a Plus
