Under the direction of a Program Director, the Gym Monitor leads and monitors the activities of the Gym Center/Program participants in experiences related to personal growth, service to others, and social development.
## Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and have 2 years experience working with teens (21 years preferred).
- Possesses good human relation skills with parents, peers and other staff.
- Enjoys teenagers and has the ability to interact and communicate with them effectively.
- Demonstrates good moral character.
- Has leadership experience with youth groups and knowledge of group work principles and processes.
- Maintain current certifications in CPR Heartsaver and First-Aid certification, Child Abuse Prevention training, Safety and Risk Management training and other designated training determined by Supervisor.
- Utilizes age-appropriate behavior management techniques with participants and models appropriate behavior.
- Displays good organizational skills related to handling paperwork and maintaining materials in a neat and orderly manner.
